Generally, this bird, belonging to the Anatidae family same as swans, can reach between 74cm and 84cm in height, weighing between 4 and 6.5 kg. Some breeds found in captivity can live up to 50 years. Another point that generates some curiosities about geese are the types found. It is known that there are more than 40 different races around the world. However, most are wild and found in Europe. In Brazil, the most common breeds of geese found are Toulouse, Embden, in addition to African and Chinese geese.
