Gajah Mungkur Reservoir is a reservoir located 6 km south of Wonogiri Regency, Central Java Province. The waters of this artificial lake were made by damming the longest river on the island of Java, namely the Bengawan Solo river. Named Gajah Mungkur, because of its location not far from the Gajah Mungkur Mountains to the west of the reservoir. The catchment area of ​​this reservoir reaches 1,350 Km with entrances through several major rivers, namely the Solo River, Kaduang River, Tirtomoyo River, Parangjoho River, Temon River, and Posong River.
