Pictured is the funerary furniture of Sennedjem`s tomb on display in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization NMEC in Cairo, Egypt. Objects that had been used in this life and would be useful in the next were included like the chair. Small human figures known as Shabti represented persons who could perform a given task for the deceased in the afterlife. Mummiform representations of the deceased also were a popular addition to funerary provisions.
