Photo taken in Yongding County,Fujian province ,China.The Fujian Tulou has been variously called `Hakka tulou`, `earth dwelling`, `Fujian earthen structures`,`round stronghouse` or simply `tulou`. it is located in Chuxi Village,Xiayang Town,Yongding County,Fujian Province.Chuxi Earth Building Complex is composed of five round buildings and dozens of square buildings with major scenic spots such as 590-odd-year-old Jiqing Building built in 1419,which is one of the most ancient specially-structured round buildings still existing in Yongding. Tulous were usually occupied by one large family clan of several generations; some larger tulou had more than one family clan. Besides the building itself, many facilities such as water wells, ceremonial hall, bathrooms, wash rooms, and weaponry were shared property. Even the surrounding land and farmland, fruit trees etc.
