It has a medallion with the head of Garibald and a star atop the column whose base is surrounded by boulders. Giuseppe Maria Garibaldi was born in 1807 and died in 1882. He was an Italian general, patriot, revolutionary and republican. He contributed to Italian unification and the creation of the Kingdom of Italy.
