Soko?owsko is located at the foot of the Suche Mountains, in the Sudetes in Lower Silesia. Today, somewhat forgotten and neglected, it was once the prototype for the famous Swiss resort of Davos. The health resort fell into serious decline in the 20th century, but there are still many wonderful monuments from the times when it was a thriving resort. One of the most interesting objects here is the ruin of Friedenstein Castle. The romantic building on a then scenic hill was built in the 19th century. It was built by Dr. Römpler and was intended to be a shelter for patients hiking mountain trails as part of therapy. It was also a viewpoint of Soko?owsko and the Suche Mountains, today we will no longer see beautiful views from this place because it is covered with forest.
