Upper monastery is separated from the lower road length of about 5 kilometers, passing through the forest. However, pilgrims walking on foot, usually use a shorter pedestrian path, which can be overcome for 20-25 minutes. The upper part is built into the rocky niche in the altitude of 900 m above sea level, it is a two-level, and there are the most important attractions of the monastery. This part of the complex consists of two small churches: Holy Cross (1665) and Vvedenskoj (XVIII century).
