Pictured are fragments from the tomb of Nefermaat inside the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt. Nefermaat was an ancient Egyptian prince, the eldest son of King Sneferu. He was buried in mastaba 16 at Meidum. The lower paintings show fowling and ploughing. The museum was built in 1901 to a design by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. In 2022, the museum is due to be superseded by the newer and larger Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.
