Fortress Minceta is the northernmost and most impressive fortresses in the Dubrovnik city walls ; the most prominent point of the defense system of Dubrovnik towards land. Fortress Minceta is named after the Dubrovnik aristocratic family Mencetic who donated the land for its construction . During the Dubrovnik Republic was virtually indestructible stronghold.
