This bright spotted shell contains a Flamingo Tongue Snail. In fact, the shell is a plain cream colour and the pattern of spots is the mantle of the snail inside wrapped around the shell as it feeds on the soft corals. These are becoming more common but used to be taken in large numbers for shell collectors and the aquarium trade. Taken on a shallow sunny dive in the Cayman Islands, Caribbean.
