The very first, First Unitarian Universalist Church in San Francisco, indeed on the whole West coast, got its start in a meeting hall, in 1850. They keep meeting there for religious services until their first building was built, in 1853, and quickly outgrew. This is now their third building, built 1889, and is one of the first Romanesque buildings in San Francisco. Other then the steeple and bell tower that were destroyed by the 1906 Quake, and replaced with the square turret, the building is unaltered. As seen 5 October 2022.
