Ferns (Pteridophyta) are a division of the kingdom plantae whose members have true roots, stems and leaves, and have transport vessels so they are also called vascular plants (Tracheophyta). Ferns are often called spore cormophytes because they reproduce asexually with spores. Ferns have approximately 9000 species. It already has roots, stems and leaves so it is called Kormophyta.
