Hall of Fame Major League baseball player, Ernie Banks, is joined by an elderly jazz musician and a high school official at an inter-generational program at the Southeast Multipurpose Center for Elderly and Disabled in Chicago, Illinois, on December 7, 1982. Banks a slugger with 512 lifetime home runs, known as “Mr. Cub” and “Mr. Sunshine,” played his entire 19-year big league career with the Chicago Cubs. An 11-time All-Star, 2-time MVP, and Golden Glove winning shortstop, Banks died 8 days before his 84th birthday, in Chicago, on January 23, 2015
