At 135m, the London Eye was the tallest in the world until 2006. The British made the main turning part, the design of the wheel itself was made in the Netherlands. The bearings and hub of the wheel were made in the Czech Republic, the shaft on which the wheel turns was made in Germany. The passenger cabins were made in France and the ropes were made in Italy.
