Shapotou is a 2,000-meter long and 100-meter high sand mound on the northern bank of the Yellow River, at the southern edge of the Tengger Desert in ZhongWei,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,China.There is a Peninsula of U shape at south bank of the Yellow River,with three sides circled by sand, and another against mountain.
