Sing from entrance in Calafat city. Calafat is a municipality in the county of Dolj, Sud-Vest, Romania in 2002 which had a population of 18.858 inhabitants. It is located about 90 kilometers from the county residence, Craiova, in southern Oltenia. The city is one of the river ports on the Danube in Romania and an important border crossing with Bulgaria. Due to the Pan-European Corridor VII Danube and the Pan-European Corridor IV, connecting the south wing Middle East and Central Europe, Calafat will benefit from major infrastructure investment.
