The ENCI quarry has produced marl cement for over 100 years. Already in Roman times, marl blocks were mined here as building material and in this way more than 800 kilometers of tunnels under Maastricht were created. Now more than 200 km of it remains, which can partly be visited. Underground corridors of more than 2000 years old.
