Eibsee, the emerald lake at the base of Zugspitze. The lake is 1.5 miles long and 0.6 miles wide, up 35 yards deep. The lake has 7 islands long its northern shores. The Eibsee lake was formed by a giant rockslide. It is one of the most beautiful and cleanest lakes in Bavaria.
