This beautiful butterfly was spotted amongst these pretty purple bee balm flowers in a field. I love the darkness of this photo and that the light is not hitting it completely. The purple here almost seems to glow. The stunning black and yellow colors of this swallowtail makes it stand out so much. I really love the stripes of this guy and how you can see where it gets it's tiger name from. This picture was taken in the East Coventry nature preserve close to Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
