This is a model OF THE `NEANDERTHAL MAN` in the exhibition. 2019 is the 150th year anniversary of the University of Otago. The Hocken Library is part of the University. The Library`s contribution to the celebrations was this exhibition called `The Garden of Earthly Delight` - which is a reference to Hieronymus Bosch. This photo is one of many I took. The Hocken Library was repurposed from the former Cheese Marketing Board. This is a bust of a neanderthal man seen from the back, with a model of a botanical specimen behind it. The two provide very interesting shadows.
