This is a Winter picture of the Dyeing of the Chicago River located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. The Dyeing is an annual event during Chicago`s St. Patrick`s Day celebration. The use of an orange powder that turns emarald green when mixed with water, the tradition began in 1962 and is carried out by the Journeymen Plumber`s Local Union 130.
