Near the dutch village of Termunten the pumping- station Rozema is situated, one of the largest and most modern of the Netherlands, to protect the northern Netherlands against wet feet. Since the end of the sixties the NAM won gas in the province of Groningen. As a result of this gas extraction decreases the earth's surface dish-shaped and this, combined with rising sea levels, was a dangerous situation.
