The Cathedral of Santa Maria Nuova in Monreale is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Monreale in Sicily. It bears the title of a papal basilica minor and is dedicated to Our Lady. Famous is the Byzantine mosaic and cloister cathedral. Together with the Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedral of Cefalù, the church was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2015.
