Dumitru Dorin Prunariu (b. September 27, 1952, Brasov) is the first Romanian cosmonaut. On May 14, 1981 became the first and only Romanian who never flew in space. He participated in the Soyuz 40 mission in the space program Intercosmos and spent seven days in space, 20 hours and 42 minutes. The aeronautical engineer.
