A small ditch in the Harderbos near Biddinghuizen. The fallen trees have reached their natural end of life. Trees that fall over remain as a food source for mosses, fungi, mushrooms and insects. In 1968 the forest was planted in the new Flevoland polder. The soil consists of fertile marine clay, so that the trees and plants grow well.
