White-winged doves occur in the southwestern United States and adjacent northern Mexico. This dove is feeding on fruits of spiny hackberrry (granjeno). Spiny hackberry is a native shrub that occurs in the desert regions of the southwestern United States and the thornscrub of southern Texas.
