Pictured is detail on the exterior of the Church and Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the home of Leonardo`s Last Supper, Milan, Italy. The relief in the center is the Italian biscione showing a serpent devouring a man. It served as the emblem of Milan`s ruling Visconti family from the 11th century to the 15th. Today it is the symbol of Milan and is used as part of the emblem of the Alfa Romeo car.
