This picture of a pretty beach was taken at Long Bay regional park, north of Auckland in the North Island. The park is very popular in the summer time. The foreground plants are flaxes and the trees on the right are native trees called Pohutukawa or NZ Christmas trees. The island in the background is Rangitoto Island, an extinct volcano.
