This unfortunately dead sea urchin still has fantastic colors on the round convex body shell. I found this sea urchin on a deserted stretch of beach near Bleik,Vesteralen near Lofoten in Norway The sea urchin is a fascinating marine animal found in most of the world's oceans. These spiny creatures are recognizable by their spherical body covered in sharp spines, which serve as protection against predators. Sea urchins are omnivorous, feeding on algae, kelp, sea grass, and small invertebrates such as molluscs and shellfish. Some sea urchin species even have teeth strong enough to cut through kelp and even coral.
