The cross was built on Miejska Góra (716 m) in the year of the Great Jubilee of 2000 years from the Birth of Christ. A steel monument with an openwork structure placed on a reinforced concrete pedestal with a viewing terrace. The whole length from the base is 37 m, the arm span is 13 meters, and it weighs 321 tons. The entire reinforced concrete structure of the cross used 254 tons of concrete, 8 tons of reinforcing steel and 16 tons of shaped steel. The observation deck 4.5 meters above the ground.
