Winningen is a village in lower Mosel Valley near Koblenz. The village is surrounded by vineyards in the valley and up the terraces on the north side of the river. Vine is even growing within the old village. There is a small airport above the old village, Flugplatz Winningen. The main road passes the airfield closely with a big gate at the runway.
