The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) in the Dublin Docklands was officially opened by the Taoiseach on 7 September 2010. The building overlooks the River Liffey at Spencer Dock. It was designed by the Irish architect Kevin Roche. The CCD was shortlisted for the Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards - Engineering Project of the Year 2010.
