Pictured is a colorful flower bed at the Dallas Arboretum. From front to back are layers of electric blue Lobelia, Butterfly deep pink star cluster Pentas lanceolate, Copperplant bronze pink Acalypha wilkesiana, and Elephant Ear portora Alocasia sarawakensis. The sixty-six acre botanical garden opened in 1984. It is located in East Dallas on the shore of White Rock Lake. It has nineteen named gardens.
