Above the front paws there are several stripes running around the neck, along the back of the lizard there are 5-6 light narrow transverse stripes, it reaches a length of up to 35 cm. The desert iguana is diurnal. Most of the time she sits motionless on hills, rocks, ledges of rocks, looking out for enemies, small prey and just basking in the sun. The area is the southwest of the USA. This species belongs to predators. The basis of their diet consists of small insects.
