Bull Nettle is part of the Spurge Family (Eurphorbiaceae). It grow upright or sprwling to 40 inches, Mature plants are lower and more wide spreading. The entire plant is covered with stiff stinging hairs, containing a caustic irritant which produces a painful irritation and rash. Plants often form spread out colonies. The flower is about one inch across, white, fragrant, somewhat tubular, and has 5 petals. Prefers dry, sandy soil and grows throughout Texas except in the Panhandle. Blooms March - September
