Clyde, a small town in central Otago, South Island New Zealand, emerged during the New Zealand gold rush in the 1800s. Many cottages and houses of this picturesque historical town have been well preserved and it is a great touristic destination. The Earnscleugh Bridge has been rebuilt 3 times. The river is too dangerous and swimming is not allowed.
