Camellia japonica, known as common camellia, or Japanese camellia, is a species of Camellia, a flowering plant genus in the family Theaceae. The Garden of the Villa Cipressi is owned by the Municipality of Varenna since 1980. The terraced lakefront garden is open to the public with an entrance fee.
