Ardisia obtusa Mez is a shrub in the Primulaceae family, with hairless small branches and often edges. The leaves are hard papery or slightly thick, oblanceolate or obovate, with a broad acute pointed, blunt or circular tip. The base is wedge-shaped, entire, and without marginal glandular dots. It is a panicle composed of compound corymbs or sub umbels, terminal. The petals are light purple or pink, ovate, acute pointed at the top, and the fruit is spherical. The diameter is 4 millimeters, black, without glandular dots, and has indistinct longitudinal ribs. The flowering period is from February to April, and the fruiting period is from April to July.Ardisia obtusa Mez is a shade tolerant ornamental tree species with excellent flowering and fruiting properties, allowing visitors to observe flowers in spring and fruits in summer.
