The Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady is the Renaissance cathedral of Baeza province of Jaen, Spain . It was the seat of the bishop of Jaen from 1227 until the bishopric moved one Jaén in 1249. It is located in the Plaza de Santa María , where among other the Fuente de Santa María and the Town High . It stands , BY historical tradition, on the site of the former Great Mosque or mosque of the town , consecrated in 1147 for Christian worship by order of King Alfonso VII under the invocation of San Isidoro . Part of the Renaissance monuments of Baeza , which along with Ubeda , was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2003
