Howth is a popular tourist destination, known for its scenic views, fishing harbor, and cliff walks. Howth has a long history. It was first settled by Vikings in the 9th century. In the 12th century, a Norman castle was built on Howth Head. Howth was an important port in the Middle Ages, and it was also a popular destination for pilgrims. Today, Howth is a thriving village with a population of around 8,000 people. It is a popular day trip destination for Dubliners, and it is also home to a number of artists and writers.
