ACHAO, CHILE - 08 DE MARZO DE 2009: It is built entirely in wood and is located in the town of Achao, within the island of Quinchao, belonging to the archipelago of Chiloe. It is the oldest wooden church in Chile, the construction of the central nave and its sides, made by Jesuit missionaries, dating from 1740. The tower and its facade as it is nowadays was modified at the beginning of the 20th century . It is a national historical monument of Chile and was declared Patrimony of the humanity.
