It is a building that dates back to Romanesque times and is located in a rectangular nave. Approximately in the 15th century, it was remodeled, and, in the 17th century, it can be said that it was rebuilt again, by order of Don Gonzalo de Valladares. It was at that time when the church was consecrated to San Benito.
