29 October 2011, Christchurch, New Zealand. The Copthorne Hotel in Victoria Street is the first Christchurch hotel of many to be demolished after the devastating earthquake in February 2011. Like many buidlings in the CBD it looks fine at first glance but it cannot be repaired because the earthquake cracked the foundations.
