The Dakshin Kali Temple in the Kathmandu Valley is one of the very few temples where the animal sacrifice is a daily ritual. This man is waiting to sell his chicken to the people visiting the temple. Normally ceremonies are done by families, when ever there is an auspicious happening in the family, like the birth of a child, or the opening of a shop, etc.
