This is a Summer picture of the iconic Chicago Theatre Marque in the loop area located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. This theatre was originally the Balaban and Katz Chicago Theatre, it was built as a movie house showing silent black and white films. The Theatre was designed by the architects of Rapp & Rapp, it is an example of Neo-Baroque/Neoclassical Architecture, it opened in 1021. This theatre was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 6, 1979 and designated a Chicago Landmark on January 28, 1983. This picture was taken on August 13, 2018.
