Interestingly, Che?msko ?l?skie has been a village since 1945. However, it has very long urban traditions. After the area was taken over by the Polish authorities after the war, the town was degraded to the rank of a village. However, its urban roots can be seen in its buildings. There are old buildings with a typical urban character and a charming market square, rarely found in villages. Unfortunately, the houses are not in the best condition. Many of them are ruins, threatening to collapse.
