Renowned Israeli actor, singer, and entertainer Chaim Topol is joined by Aura Namir, wife of the then Israel President Chaim Herzog in Tel Aviv, on November 29, 1987. The occasion was a fundraiser for the Israeli branch of Variety Clubs International. They are joined by an official of the organization in this photo. Topol is a winner of the Israel Prize, the highest civilian honor bestowed by the government. Namir died in 2022 at the age of 97, while Topol passed away in March of 2023, at the age of 87.
