This is a Burnsius adepta butterfly species. Hesperiidae family, Pyrginae subfamily. Common name: central american checkered-skipper. There are 12 species in Burnsius genus. Little skipper butterfly about 30 mm. Male forewing has a mat of long blue-gray hairs. This one is feeding nectar on an Acmella repens flower species. Observed near Maya Biosphere Reserve (MBR), Petén department, Guatemala. Population and distribution threatened by climate change.
