This castle is undoubtedly the most known monument in National Park Monfraguë and had a great importance during the middle Ages. After the War of Succession, the castle is abandoned and in ruins, and it will remain so until the end of the twentieth century, when it carries out an important task of restoration and reconstruction. On top of it you can enjoy an indescribable panorama and the griffon vultures from the Salto del Gitano colony.
