Pictured is a limestone carved relief with traces of paint of Presentation of Captives to a Maya Ruler on display in the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. It was created circa 785 AD. The five figures are the Yaxchilan king, seated at top left, his sahal or military chief on the right, and three bound captives on the lower left. It is from Mexico, Usumacinta River Valley, Maya culture, in the Late Classic period from 600 to 900 AD.
